Paul Thomas, Vice President

Paul Thomas puts his experience in city and state government to work helping a diverse clientele craft and manage their budgetary, legislative, and regulatory advocacy efforts. He developed this expertise over the course of a career in public service in which he held senior staff positions in the New York City Council, both houses of the New York State Legislature, and in the New York State Attorney General’s office under Andrew Cuomo.

As Assistant Director of Intergovernmental and Community Affairs for the Attorney General, Paul was a principal liaison to federal, state, and local officials in New York City and the lower Hudson Valley.

While at the New York City Council, he played a key role in the municipal budget process, helped lead staff efforts to create the city’s Anti-Gang Violence Youth Initiative, and worked to expand the city’s Family Justice Center to help victims of domestic violence. He also worked in the State Legislature as a top aide to State Senator Kevin Parker and as Chief of Staff to Assemblyman Carl Heastie, who subsequently became chair of the Bronx Democratic Party.
